Welcome to my Blog!

I feel so blessed to be living a dream I have been searching, longing, and waiting for what seemed like an eternity. I never thought I would find it, never dreamed I would experience surmounting bliss, never imagined I would be so enamored and consumed by an "IT"... by PHOTOGRAPHY ...

M journey is ongoing, long, arduous, with countless frustrations and disappointments but nonetheless filled with overwhelming joy, love and triumph. It is intoxicating!

I knew deep inside me it was in the ARTS, but somehow my family convinced me my art was in the medical field. So I succeeded to become a physical therapist. But the calling became louder as time went by. I tried all sorts of artistic ventures - drawing, singing, dancing, painting, but to my disdain, not one satisfied the ache I felt inside. Until ten years ago when scrapbooking was introduced to me. I knew it as soon as I found myself spending more time taking pictures for my scrapbooks instead of making the books. I was hooked. I found my place, my home, my nest, my art, my photography, and I thank my God, my Jesus, my Savior for this wonderful gift!!!!!

Please join me in this beautiful journey and if you want to be apart of it, please do not hesitate to email me and find out if my photographic style matches yours.

Hi! My name is Rae Mati and welcome to my BLOG!

Just a few more… Toledo Children Photographer

Children are Fun – Perrysburg Children Photographer

There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again.  ~Elizabeth Lawrence

I had the pleasure to work with two adorable kids recently. You seldom see siblings at their ages that adore each other like these two. Their closeness was touching.

Thanks Tricia for sharing them with me … here’s a sneak peek for you!

5 days old – Perrysburg Newborn Photographer

she was alert as can be …

at 5 days, she should still be sleeping …

not Ms. K.

She wanted to check everything out…

However, I’m patient… very patient…

And after 2 hours …

she succumbed to slumber …

Presenting beautiful Ms. K …

A heartfelt Thank You to all of my September customers …

I have notified all of you either by email or phone call but I still feel so bad about canceling everybody and I just feel so helpless about my situation. As you know, I am having a bad case of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum, and though I am on medication for it, it does very little to relieve it. Every once in a while, I have a good few hours but it is brief and unpredictable. I love what I do but I also don’t feel like I’m going to do a good job feeling the way I feel. I am so blessed to have all of you respond with understanding and all I can say is a simple thank you. It means a lot to me.

Well you know it’s always best to post a photo with every entry so here is my two year old who is going to be a big sister soon…

Sibling Love – just a joy to watch – Findlay Children Photographer

Let me tell you how cool these kids were: they woke up  earlier than usual to drive all the way from Findlay to be at our photo shoot only to find out it was drizzling – but guess what? They were still game – they were wide awake and ready for our fun shoot. The drizzle didn’t bother them at all and they even managed to show in front of the cameras how they adore each other. So here are a few of my favorites …

Good Boys are cool … {Toledo Family Photographer}

These boys were so well-behaved and so cooperative that I still can’t believe how easy it was to photograph them. Mom was a little anxious on how they are going to be at the photoshoot – (like any other mom) and how the photographs are going to turn out. Well, hopefully these images will put her concerns to rest. Lee, I hope you like this sneak peek.

Toledo School for the Arts Senior – just love this girl! – Toledo Senior Photographer

I thought I was losing my mind when I tried to look for this post and couldn’t find it. I was so sure I posted it but I guess I didn’t – at least I found it …yes! It was saved as draft – it must have been one of those late nights when I stayed past my late, late bed time – that would be around 2 am!

Anyway, I’m sorry for missing to post this but I still want to share it … so here they are:

And here she was imitating her mom’s senior pose – it made her mom cry – she was so touched by this gesture…

A charming baby… Toledo Newborn Photographer

What better way to post on Easter Sunday but to showcase a charming newborn. Birth is such a miracle and it brings so much joy and excitement! When I first met this family back last year it was by way of a phone call from grandma way back west in California – she wanted me to photograph her grand daughter for her first communion and invitation and so I was so glad to see the newest member of the family. I love her name (yup I’m a bit biased Kara). Anyway, baby “S” is exquisite and such a charmer. My husband can’t stop saying “Oh she’s beautiful!” Well you be the judge …

Look who’s gonna be a big sister?! – Toledo Maternity Photographer

It’s true, life gets faster as you get older. I still can’t believe that it’s been almost 3 years ago when I photographed my good friend “C” when she was carrying her first baby. Now she is a mother again to yet another baby girl “E” who I can’t wait to see and of course, photograph. This was taken just a few days before she had her and look how great she looked.

Beautiful Sisters- Lambertville, MI Senior Photographer

You may remember them from last year. I just love photographing these girls, they have perfect bone structure and should be on the modeling ramp.
